Baptism is the Sacrament of Initiation by which we become members of the Body of Christ, the new people of God, the Church.

INFANT BAPTISM   

Ages: birth – 7 years 

Guidelines:

• Acquire the Infant Baptism Packet (the packet can be found on the parish website or you may get it at the parish office).                                                                                        
• Please read the packet thoroughly and fill in all the necessary information. 
• Complete the packet and return it to the parish office by the deadline date of the month you wish to take the class and have your child baptized. A state-certified copy of the child's birth certificate is part of the registration packet and the baptism may be put off until we have it. Pictures of the certificate emailed to us do not fulfill this requirement. 
• The required baptism class is MANDATORY for parents AND godparents. 
• Classes are held on Saturday mornings from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm in the parish office.

Rite of Christian Initiation (RCIA) for Children
The RCIA program is for children seven years or older who have not been baptized and wish to become Catholic. Both the child and their parent(s), or an approved designated adult must attend monthly sessions. Please contact Raquel Hinojosa at 409-925-3579 ext 208 or rhinojosa@ololchurch.org, if you want to enter your child in the RCIA for Children program.

Rite of Christian Initiation (RCIA) for Adults
